Gallus sells 100th Labelmaster press

Gallus, a subsidiary of Heidelberg, celebrated a milestone at Labelexpo Europe 2019: the 100th sale of the Gallus Labelmaster press, ordered by Interfas, based in Louviers, France.

The conventional press with a printing width of 440mm is equipped with eight flexo units and three die-cutting units. Cold foil finishing is integrated, too. It is the first Gallus Labelmaster and the first flexo press for Interfas, which has previously relied exclusively offset printing for label production.

‘Being able to celebrate such a great success at Labelexpo Europe 2019, the biggest event in this industry, is just great,’ said Christof Naier of Gallus. ‘With this investment the company made a future-safe investment because now they are able to response to new applications or changed job requirements.’

The Gallus Labelmaster is claimed to provide consistently high print quality, minimal paper waste due to a short web path (only 1.4m between printing units), and printing speeds of up to 200m/min. Short set-up times, precise and stable register accuracy, die-cut at any position and intuitive operation are further advantages of the machine platform, according to Gallus.

With 100 machines sold since its launch at Labelexpo Europe 2017, the Labelmaster is Gallus’ most successful press launch.

The press is expected to be installed at Interfas in spring 2020.
