Founded in 2007, Guangcai is equipped with letterpress, PS press, layer and unit flexo press and an extensive range of finishing equipment. In 2019, the company's annual output value reached RMB 110 million. Guangcai has established long-term relationships with respected brands such as Shuanghui, Wanglaoji, Luhua, Mengniu, Jianyi, Junlebao, Qomolangma Glacier and Perfect. Labels produced by the company can be seen on bottled water, food and beverage, personal care products, chemicals, drugs, and pharmaceuticals, including labels featuring anti-counterfeiting technologies.

‘As the orders and business continue to grow, Guangcai needed to invest in a new press to meet our production demand. Heidelberg Gallus is one of the world's leading flexo printer suppliers and has been working with us for many years. Therefore, we didn’t hesitate to continue our cooperation. Now we have four Gallus ECS 340 flexo presses,’ said Ji Congri, general manager of Guangcai. ‘The installation of the new press is expected to increase the company's production capacity by 20 percent.’

The spread of Covid-19 heavily impacted the label printing industry and Chinese converters expect that it will take a significant amount of time to recover after the pandemic. Some of them have delayed or even temporarily canceled their investment plans, including purchasing of any new equipment.

‘For Guangcai, we have adjusted our product strategy this year. Since we returned to work in February, we have produced several labels for domestic disinfectant market. Starting from March, we have also supplied labels for the same market internationally. Compared with the same period last year, Guangcai's business has increased 30 percent,’ concluded Ji.

The ECS 340 order was confirmed by Guangcai at the end of 2019. However, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the equipment imported from Germany has arrived at the factory at the end of May this year.
