India’s first DLI installed in Haridwar
Shreeji Group, based in Haridwar, has installed India’s first Esko digital letterpress imager (DLI) through TechNova Imaging System, a reseller of Esko in India.

Esko DLI with high resolution optics, capable of 4,000 ppi imaging, helps to produce images with higher precision, more details, sharpness, image contrast, finer highlights and smooth gradients in the whole tonal scale.
Shreeji Group prints lamitubes and has a total production capacity of 70 million tubes every month with three plants in India. The company houses four UV letterpress machines. The company is also engaged in manufacturing, packaging, trading, importing, exporting, warehousing and storage, and logistics.
Chandrakant More, deputy general manager at Shreeji Group, said: ‘The group chose to invest in Esko DLI primarily to overcome challenges of unstable reproduction quality associated with conventional platemaking through film transfer technology and to increase the platemaking accuracy which in turn will help to move to higher LPI jobs for better quality. DLI also helps increase production efficiency and profitability by reducing costly plate remakes.
‘We are confident of Esko’s technology and after sales support, more so after a strong recommendation from TechNova who understand our business and has a long-standing track record of providing services through letterpress plates to the group.’
