Label Impressions invests in Ashai Water Wash system

Label Impressions, a California-based label and flexible packaging converter, has made upgrades and expansions in its drive to push for a sustainable and successful future in the industry. As part of their numerous improvements, CT Graphic Arts worked with the company to install an AWP 4835 Water Wash Plate Making System which has in turn reduced their VOC output by 85 percent. That is a gigantic step forward in sustainability, efficiency and profitability for this growing Southern California business.

With a look to 2017 and increased focus on flexible packaging-pouches, shrink film and digital capabilities; Label Impressions has invested in growing their production output and efficiency. In addition to Asahi Water Wash equipment several other updates have been completed.

‘Over the last 24 months we've made large investments in equipment and plant expansion,’ owner Jeff Salisbury said. ‘We've expanded into a new, 30,000 sq. foot facility, completed a massive electrical upgrade with Edison, giving us increased efficiency and further expansion capabilities. Rounding out our plant expansion will be a water-wise landscaping design that has just been completed and installation will shortly be underway. The plan includes a drip irrigation system that feed from our 'gray water drainage’ including the effluent from our water wash system plate making system. We've also added two additional Nilpeter, 10 color, servo driven label and flexible packaging presses with chill systems, auto registration and additional enhancements.’

Label Impressions’ expansion and the company’s Nilpeter installation was featured in Issue 2 of Labels & Labeling this year.
