Maca signs up to REVO Digital Flexo project

Italian firm Maca has purchased an M5 REVO press as part of an effort to offers its customers ‘high quality in printing, quick set-up times and great flexibility in production and design’.

The printing machine Maca has purchased has a configuration of 630mm width, nine printing units, REVO technology for extended color gamut and Nuova Gidue Digital Automation for the digitization of the entire flexo printing process.

REVO is a project team featuring eight industry suppliers cooperating to drive flexography towards the new ‘digital’ world of printing and converting through process consistency, efficiency and cost reduction. The project team member companies include Nuova Gidue, UPM Raflatac, Flint Group, Esko, DuPont, AVT, Apex Group of Companies and Adare Group.

REVO technology uses UV Flexo Inks, Digital Automation “from pre-press to printing process” and extended color gamut, that allows to achieve repeatable and predictable PMS shades without changing Anilox and Inks.

Maca is a flexible packaging converter that works in several markets, and is focused on the application of HD flexo technology to produce products with the highest print quality and flexibility and the lowest costs even for short and medium runs.
