Multitec sells press into Russia

Indian machine manufacturer Multitec has sold its full servo S1 press to Russian converter Label Group at Labelexpo Europe 2019.

Anton Denisov of Label Group with Amit Ahuja of Multitec at Labelexpo Europe 2019

Label Group bought its first 8-color Multitec press in 2015. The company opted for a 10-color full-servo S1 press in 2017 and has now booked a second 450mm wide, 8-color S1 press during Labelexpo.

Anton Denisov, partner at Label Group, said: ‘Multitec presses run brilliantly for printing pressure-sensitive labels, films, shrink sleeves as well as linerless labels. We are pleased with the service and performance of the press and it is in our benefit to keep our tooling same while expanding our market reach.’

Label Group exclusively caters to the food industry in the country and prints an average of 300,000 square meters a month on its two existing Multitec presses.

‘We took the decision to invest in a new press when our earlier machines are running at 80 percent capacity,’ Denisov said. ‘We cater to only the local market in Russia but considering the wide geography of the country, our farthest customer is 6000kms away. Therefore, we are evaluating soon expanding our facilities close to Siberia.’

Amit Ahuja, sales director at Multitec, said: ‘We are very pleased with the response received from different parts of the world. This will be our sixth press in Russia with repeat customer so that gives us a lot of confidence.’
