Based in Moscow, Pechatny Express - Flexographia is a long-time partner of Nuova Gidue, and the latest installation is one of several involving the Italian flexo press manufacturer over the last 13 years.

This includes two 8-color, 280mm-wide S-Combat presses, and a 370mm-wide model, for label printing.

A 10-color, 370mm-wide Nuova Gidue M5 was installed to facilitate the move by Pechatny Express - Flexographia to widen its range of products and enter the flexible packaging market. This press features Nuova Gidue’s Digital Flexo, an integrated system of technologies that allows all press operations, set-up, production and quality control to be performed with no need for manual intervention from the operator.

Irina Dmitrieva, director of Pechatny Express – Flexographia, said: ‘The M5’s unlimited range of substrates gave us a great competitive advantage and expands our possibilities. Nuova Gidue Digital Flexo technology not only reduces set-up waste, but also increases the quality of production. We are deeply pleased with our choice.’

Evgeniya Chirkova, sales manager at Gidue Rus, which handled the installation, said: ‘Over the past few years many Russian converters asked for a possible installation of the second die-cutting unit, and when, in September 2013 during Labelexpo Europe, Nuova Gidue presented the new Сombat MX2 we immediately understood that this press model would have had great success in Russia.’

Elena Stepanova, sales director Gidue Rus, added: ‘The MX2 press model has been well-accepted in the whole Russian market of labels and packaging. Since the beginning of its world sales up to the present time, Gidue Rus has installed seven printing presses in Russia, and nowadays the total number of Combat MX installations all over the world is more than 50.’

Cristina Toffolo, vice president of marketing at Nuova Gidue, concluded: ‘The Russian market has always been a demanding market that is quite difficult to enter. Therefore the long-time cooperation with Pechatny Express - Flexographia is both a great result in terms of success and profitability for Nuova Gidue advanced technology, and also a great demonstration of the power of our technology that strongly rewards all the efforts of our team.’
