The focus of the new coater will be pressure sensitive specialty films and liners as well as custom patterned solutions, including zone and dry edge coatings.

‘It’ such a challenging time in this market, and therefore it’s exciting to see the launch of this new coater. It will add tremendous value to Technicote and for our customers. I’m very proud of the hard work the entire team has done to get us here,’ said Dan Clarke, technical director at Technicote.

The new asset expands the plant’s capability to handle small custom-coat orders with a fast turnaround. The decision to invest in specialty, custom-coat product coating line was driven by increasing demand for Technicote’s application-specific custom products.

‘It’s a tough market these days, and our customers are under immense pressure to move quickly and to differentiate from their competitors. Speed to market and fast response is everything, so we are commissioning this coater focused squarely on delivering challenging products and unique value quickly,’ said Frank Gavrilos, Technicote’s president.

These products will be offered as part of the company growing Tech 25 program, more than thirty-thousand custom coat offerings across the complete product line available as low as 2,500’.

‘Given our long history of producing innovative solutions, this line reinforces our position in developing application-specific and unique products to help our customers with the most challenging applications,’ added Clarke. ‘We are now able to offer these solutions even faster.’
