George Schmitt collaborates with Wiliot
Connecticut converter to manufacture and validate Gen3 IoT Pixel labels at scale.
George Schmitt and Co. has announced a collaboration with Wiliot to convert, test and manufacture Wiliot's Gen3 IoT Pixels into finished BLE-enabled smart labels for logistics, retail and supply chain applications.
Wiliot's IoT Pixels are battery-free, stamp-sized sensors embedded into labels that harvest ambient energy and continuously transmit Bluetooth signals, enabling real-time item-level visibility across supply chains. George Schmitt integrates these pixels into finished label constructions, selecting materials, adhesives and formats for durability in deployment environments, while its proprietary in-line testing system validates that every label is powered, serialized and transmitting correctly before leaving production.
The collaboration addresses a key barrier to scaling BLE-based supply chain networks: ensuring consistent label performance at high volume. George Schmitt's manufacturing platform is designed for high-speed output with tight quality control, eliminating defective labels during production rather than in deployment.
