28 winners named at latest EDP Awards

The European Digital Press (EDP) Association has presented a total of 28 trophies to suppliers operating in the digital printing market as part of its latest awards program.

The Screen TruePress Jet L350UV digital label press was awarded the trophy for the ‘Best Label Printing Solution’ in the industrial and special printing class

Winners in the eighth EDP Awards were presented with trophies on May 21 during Fespa Digital in Munich, Germany, which included the Screen TruePress Jet L350UV digital label press that was awarded the trophy in the ‘Best Label Printing Solution’ category under the Printing Systems class.

A total of 120 entries were submitted by suppliers to the 2014 awards program, with 60 products nominated by the technical committee of EDP, and then categorized. Some 28 products were awarded a trophy for being the winner in their category.

The Screen TruePress Jet L350UV was nominated alongside the Epson SurePress L-6034VW and FFEI Graphium in the ‘Best Label Printing Solution’ category.

Also nominated were SunJet’s new low migration UV inkjet inks and Agfa Graphics’ Altamira Pack low migration, UV-curable inkjet inks for printing direct on primary food packaging (food or beverage container) and for printing on labels, blister foils, lids etc for food and pharma packaging applications. Agfa Graphics’ inks were awarded the trophy in this category, ‘Best Environmental Ink Technology’ under the wider Ink/Toner Technologies class.
