African converter invests In MarquipWardUnited TSKM sheeter

Moroccan firm DICAPA has invested in a 1,450mm TSKM sheeter from MarquipWardUnited.

DICAPA is a leading board and fine paper converter in North Africa, and MarquipWardUnited said the investment furthers its aim to improve business with the latest technology available to the market.

The 1,450mm maximum width dual rotary sheeter, which is also available as a 1,650mm model, is equipped with one SSLD unwind for two webs, three slitters, the Marquip synchro knife and 1,500mm pile height stacker.

The TSKM will mainly sheet board, but can sheet fine paper as well. DICAPA will benefit from this flexibility, according to MarquipWardUnited.

DICAPA currently has three other sheeters, but a need for improved performance lead the company to the TSKM, with the final decision to invest made at ICE Europe 2013 in Munich, Germany.

The sheeter will ship this month and installation will take place in August.

‘DICAPA is a key player in North Africa and we are proud to install the best cutting technology in Morocco,’ said Frederic Duquenne, a MarquipWardUnited sales executive for Western Europe and Africa.

Mechiche Alami, chairman of DICAPA, said: ‘MarquipWardUnited has the best knife, with the best cut quality, no dust, in-machine blade sharpening, low maintenance, and local technical support from the MarquipWardUnited agent at Graphic Evolution.’
