Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre to run German-language flexo printing course in 2018

This advanced technical session, never held before in German language, follows the ‘great success’ obtained during the first laminating course in German that took place at the end of March, with participants from Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Comexi CTec had previously offered this training only in Spanish and English.

During this specific four-day training in flexography, participants will have the opportunity to discover, both at a practical and theoretical level, the main elements of a flexographic press, functions and technical characteristics of the press, as well as the control of variables, such as sleeves, anilox, color management, solvent- or water-based inks, and the different materials used in the flexible packaging sector. A quick job changeover will be performed and flexographic printing problems will be analyzed, with potential outcomes to obtain an improvement in productivity to be presented.

The addition of a German-language training course has been made with the aim of reaching more customers and answering ‘a clear demand’, according to Comexi CTec.

Comexi runs the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre, from which it supports and transmits its knowledge to the different players in the flexible packaging industry process. As a driver of knowledge, CTec services cover several processes in the flexible packaging sector and are divided into four areas: consultancy, innovation services, demo center, and industrial laboratory, training and academic activities. Since its foundation five years ago, around 1,000 professionals have been trained through CTec courses. All Comexi CTec advanced training sessions are accredited by the University of Girona (UdG) as a specialization course.

Comexi CTec runs around 20 courses and technical sessions for clients annually, covering the different phases of the printing and converting process of the flexible packaging industry. The German-language flexo printing course joins other new session including an advanced technical slitting session in English and a new gravure session in Spanish.
