3M delivers durable solutions for variable data applications

3M thermal transfer printable label materials feature facestocks and topcoats designed to withstand harsh environments - extreme temperatures, abrasion, even chemicals and solvents. With 3M’s adhesive technology, these labels can be applied to uneven, curved, or rough surfaces, or to low-surface energy substrates such as plastics and powder coated surfaces. Specific combinations of thermal transfer ribbons and 3M thermal transfer printable label materials satisfy UL 969 standards for marking and labeling systems. In addition, most of these label materials are printable by standard printing methods (e.g., flexographic, letterpress, screen, hot foil, etc.).
