Acucote introduces thinner film series
Acucote has introduced thinner films to its current BOPP product line.

Offering raw material cost savings, potential efficiency cost reductions and an improved environmental footprint, these down-gauged films extend Acucote’s prime and variable print BOPP label stocks.
New additions to Acucote’s prime label offerings include the 2.4mm White Topcoat and the 2.6mm White Vision Gloss Topcoat. The 2.4mm White Topcoat is a cost-effective substitute for Acucote’s current 2.6mml White Gloss Topcoat. The 2.4mm maintains the same opacity and top-coating as the 2.6mm, Acucote said.
The 2.6mm White Vision Gloss is a mid-gloss option between high gloss and matte finish facestocks.
For the variable print market, Acucote now also stocks 2.6mm White Premium Thermal Transfer. Serving as an alternative to the 3mm White Thermal Transfer, this facestock has a smoother surface and results in sharper imaging through thermal transfer printers and much improved flexo printability.
Products are offered through the AcuChoice program with GPX adhesive on a 40# liner. GPX is a water-based acrylic general purpose adhesive designed to adhere to a variety of surface applications.
These new offerings are available No Trim with a minimum order quantity of 3in x 5,000ft. Products are initially stocked in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Additional adhesive and liner combinations are available on a custom coat basis.
