Avery Dennison expands flexible packaging offering
The Fasson Roll North America division of Avery Dennison Corporation has expanded its flexible packaging offering. ‘Converters seeking packaging ideas that combine longer shelf life, better taste and product safety, along with step-saving convenience and portability, now have more resources from one source when making packaging decisions,’ said the company in a statement.
A portfolio of new paper- and film-faced lidding products – ideal for snack packs, single-serve cereal and fruit cups – have been added to the FlexPak line up. Products manufactured for tubular form/fill machines and intended for trendy ‘stick’ applications, such as powdered drink mix packets can be ordered, along with a variety of single- and multi-ply snack web products designed for snack and baked good packaging and ice cream novelties.
Flexibility, short run lengths and low plate-to-press costs all continue to stimulate narrow-web packaging opportunities. To assist converters with the material selection process for these applications, a new FlexPak Matrix has been created. The Matrix features more than 25 flexible packaging products and gives exterior, barrier and sealant layer comparisons, with packaging application recommendations for trouble-free product selection.
