AVT strengthens partnership with Gallus at Innovation Days
AVT introduced a press control and quality assurance system for digital inkjet presses at Gallus Innovations Days, a three-day event held at the Gallus Ferd Rüesch AG facility in St Gallen, Switzerland, on September 20-22.

Named PIQ-C (Picture Image Quality Control), the new jointly developed quality assurance system is integrated into the Gallus Labelfire 340 digital label printing press, which is built by printing press manufacturers Heidelberg and Gallus.
PIQ-C works in synergy with the digital press unit controllers to maintain exemplary print quality, offering a comprehensive detection and correction capability. The close loop quality control system allows digital printers to gain a competitive advantage through consistent print quality throughout the print run at high speeds, says the company.
In addition to PIQ-C, AVT also showcased its Helios Turbo HD system on the Gallus Labelfire, showcasing high definition resolution inspection along and across the web at full press and rewinder speeds.
Jaron Lotan, AVT's president and CEO, said: ‘We are honored to be the press control and inspection solution partner of choice for the Gallus system, the recognized leaders in narrow web and label presses. Our collaboration further showcases why AVT is positioned to lead the way in both digital and conventional printing quality control throughout the workflow process.’
Michael Ring, vice president & general manager, Digital Solutions at Gallus, said: ‘AVT is the perfect choice for this type of partnership. Their leadership position and in-depth knowledge in detection enabled us to create a new standard in IQ control for digital inkjet printing.’
