The Perma-Bow, NimCor’s fixed bowed roll, has a curved axle that is preset at the factory according to the customer’s application and the web’s deflection forces. The Ajusta-Bow model allows customers to alter the roll’s curvature to accommodate a wide variety of web conditions and materials. Both fixed and adjustable bowed roll models aid in slit separation, and help prevent slack edges, soft spots, and dual web interleaving. 

All NimCor bowed rolls are custom-designed and tailored to specific application requirements. Roll diameters are available from 1.5 to 7.5 inches along with a full range of cover compounds for various applications, including abrasive, caustic or tacky webs. Adjustable bearings and bearing housings from NimCor also enable customers to adjust the apex of the roll for optimum web handling.
