Cosmo Films launches non-tearable synthetic paper

Cosmo Films, a provider of specialty films for flexible packaging, labeling and lamination applications as well as synthetic paper, has introduced 100 percent Opaque Synthetic Paper (OSP) specially designed for dangler application.

Cosmo Films launches non-tearable 100 percent Opaque Synthetic Paper (OSP)
A non-tearable, co-extruded, white opaque, and on both sides matte coated film which resembles paper in appearance is best suited for outdoor applications where printing is done on both sides and requires 100 percent opacity. With moisture resistance, this white opaque paper yields high ink adhesion and color reproducibility.

The matte effect on both sides of the product makes it appear similar to paper and offers print quality and true color output. Its print receptive coating allows it to print on both sides by conventional and UV offset, UV and water-based flexographic, thermal transfer, and screen and letterpress printing processes.

The new film can be used for labeling applications such as chemical drum and track and trace labels.

On the product launch, Pankaj Poddar, CEO, Cosmo Films, said: ‘With boundless uses in commercial printing, retail and packaging, tags and labels, identification and credentials and outdoor displays and signages, CSP can create a niche for itself as a weather-proof replacement for paper in applications where durability and longevity are desired. Cosmo Films is the leading market player in India, and with this launch, we aim to grow in the Indian as well as international markets.’
