Degraf presents Concept 305 EDLF

Degraf SpA, a leader in the development and design of equipment for the production of flexographic plates, has launched the new Concept 305 EDLF, a multi-process unit for exposing, drying and finishing flexographic plates.

Concept 305 EDLF can process plates of size up to 92x120cm (36x48”) and has a new automatic system for the opening of the lid, which enables the user to have an easy, fast and safe access to the equipment from three sides. A PLC with a touch-screen operator interface allows easy management of all functions. This brand new solution is therefore aimed to all services and printers of the flexographic market who need to manage different production activities with a single unit.

Concept 305 EDLF is also equipped with a lamp temperature control which keeps lamps at 45C, to guarantee the best UV output. Furthermore, a light integrator system ensures that, during the exposure phase the plates always receive the same quantity of light independently from the lamps output. A controlled cooled bed is claimed to considerably reduce oxygen emissions, with the consequent decrease or total elimination of blurring problems.

This multi-process unit also includes a drying section made up of four drawers, each one with its own timer, where the air flows uniformly for a quick evaporation of the solvent, resulting in a general reduction of process time. Finally, the finishing section is made up of 20 UV-A and 19 UV-C lamps, which can be activated all together or individually, in order to ensure maximum flexibility for a better management of the equipment.

The new Concept 305 EDLF is already available on the market through the international network of Degraf resellers and OEMs.
