Domino releases X630i press teaser

Domino has released a short teaser video giving a sneak preview of the new single pass X630i digital ink jet press ahead of its official launch tomorrow. This equipment is the company’s first step into the digital corrugated printing space.

Designed for everyday corrugated production, this highly automated ink jet printing technology utilizes a new aqueous ink set based on novel water-based ink technology.

‘The single pass Domino X630i digital ink jet press has been designed for everyday corrugated production, allowing corrugated box printers to maximize productivity and efficiency, and minimize cost, ink consumption and waste,’ said Matt Condon, business development manager at Domino. ‘It will enable them to profitably develop short and medium run market opportunities; facilitate new streams of business and provide a more complete range of capability for their customer base.’

The short teaser video highlights some of the key features and benefits including its small footprint; its servo controlled, lead edge, continuous bottom feeding system; the AQ95 aqueous ink set that is Swiss Ordinance, Nestlé and EuPIA compliant meaning that it is suitable for many non-direct food packaging applications, and its unique polymer-based technology enables printing on both uncoated and coated corrugated board without the need for a primer or separate bonding agent; and the capability to print 600dpi at speeds of up to 75m/min.

The official launch of the X630i press is scheduled for tomorrow, June 16, at 10am BST and the registration is still open on Domino’s website.
