Dow Corning announces availability of Syl-Off release system guides

Dow Corning has introduced new release system information guides for its Syl-Off emulsion, platinum-catalyzed release coatings and Syl-Off solventless, rhodium-catalyzed silicone release coatings. The new guides give users a better understanding of the different features, benefits and performance profiles of the various system components and how to use them more effectively.

The new release system information guides include descriptions of recent additions to the Syl-Off global product line, such as new bakery-release options for emulsion platinum and new high-speed crosslinkers for solventless rhodium. The guides include updated product handling, application information and formulation suggestions. A wider array of formulation examples reveals how silicone release coating components can be combined and adjusted to meet various processing and performance challenges.

‘The Syl-Off product line is constantly evolving in response to customer and market needs,’ said Luc Dusart, Dow Corning global market manager. ‘The products in the guides are available worldwide and meet the majority of global industry requirements.’

Updated guides for Dow Corning’s other platinum-catalyzed silicone release coating systems, including the low-platinum Advantage Series and solutions for films, are in progress and will be available soon.
