Felt rolls with custom bearing housings

PFE Rolls, a manufacturer of precision rolls for the paper, film, and plastics manufacturing industries, now offers felt rolls with custom bearing housings that allow for upright or inverted configurations.

Time required to change and install rolls is reduced as rolls arrive ready to install with assembled bearings. Roll installation requires no modification of existing machinery, framework or bearing lubrication hoses. One type of bearing housing can be used for a variety of applications, allowing paper mills to minimize their inventory of bearing housings. Felt rolls are typically balanced for speeds up to 10,000 FPM. Bolt-on journals are available for easy maintenance; alloy steel journals for heavy-weight applications. Optional chrome plating and a wide range of rubber coverings are also available.
