Focus to launch flexo-inkjet hybrid press at Labelexpo

Focus is to launch the e-FLEX hybrid flexo/digital combination press at Labelexpo Europe 2015. The twin-servo system provides single touch set-up, with minimal waste for conventional printing and can be combined with a digital module for variable data, text and images. The touchscreen HMI allows storage of job details for future retrieval.

At the show, Focus will show an 8-color, 330mm-wide press, equipped with full UV drying. The e-FLEX incorporates top loading print cylinders and rapid change print cartridges to reduce downtime and setup times. A choice of interstation drying systems enables higher press speeds. The short web-path allows for a compact design, whilst still maintaining good accessibility for the operator and plenty of space for optional equipment. IR and UV drying with chill-rolls are available, as well as delam/relam, rotary cold foil transfer, silk screen, turn-bar, sheet conveyor and enclosed/chambered ink cartridges.

Focus will also launch the Proflex SE press and show the established dFlex hybrid digital label print and finishing unit.
