Graymills adds to family of peristaltic ink pumps
In an effort to help converters reduce changeover time and increase productivity, Graymills has added two new lines to its industry-standard family of peristaltic ink pumps.
Removable Head Peristaltic Pumps have been added as an option to the single head PPS (up to 1.5 gpm) and PPL (up to 4.5 gpm) series. A click removes the dirty head, and a clean head with tubing installed can be clicked in place and running in seconds (no tools required). Changeover time is reduced instantly.
The Dual Head Peristaltic Ink Pump combines two quick-change heads powered by a single motor. This pump's versatility and flexibility allows users to:
• supply ink to and draw back from one deck
• supply the same ink to two decks
• supply two different inks to two decks
The variable speed, reversible pump handles a variety of flow conditions. The pump heads can be removed by pushing a ‘quick release’ bar. New pump heads click into place with the pump up and running in seconds. The stand-alone control box can be placed in an operator-friendly location away from splashes and spills.
Graymills has also introduced an Extended-Life Peristaltic Pump Hose to its line. This new Extended-Life hose will replace the current solvent resistant peristaltic hose used in our PPL-KE/KF explosion-proof peristlatic pumps.
The company said in a statement: ‘We call it "extended-life" because our lab tests show it lasts up to eight-times longer than our current solvent-resistant hose!’
The new Extended-Life hose can be used in any of the company’s PPL series peristaltic pumps for pumping both solvent and water-based inks.
