HarperScientific, the printing and coating supplies division of global anilox supplier Harper Corporation of America, has announced the introduction of the Digi-Tek sponge, a product perfectly suited for cleaning digital plates.

‘Because the dot heads on digital plates are wider than the stems, improper cleaning can cause plate damage,’ said Jim Harper, HarperScientific vice president. ‘Digi-Tek eliminates the potential of the mesh snagging the dot heads and damaging the plate image. Plate room personnel tell us that the Digi-Tek sponge solves that problem, and is easy to work with.’

Available exclusively through HarperScientific, the Digi-Tek sponge can be used with all plate cleaning solutions, including ink solvents. The sponges are sold individually or in boxes of 10 or 48.

HarperScientific is the manufacturer of CeramClean II and CeramClean SOLV-IT anilox cleaners, a wide variety of flexographic and gravure hand-proofing systems, and DuroSeal chamber blade end seals.
