InkSure Technologies introduces new PocketSure reader
InkSure Technologies, a provider of covert machine-readable security solutions for the detection of counterfeiting, fraud and diversion, has announced the launch of its new PocketSure reader.
At 5.5 inches in length and weighing a mere 2.5 ounces, the PocketSure is a reader that offers customers enhanced mobility and economy. Features of the new reader include single-code memory, audio and visual indicators, and the ability to operate on AAA batteries. PocketSure offers a significant benefit for warehouses, return centers, law enforcement agencies and retail organizations seeking to optimize their anti-counterfeiting and ’reverse logistics‘ measures. Its simple-to-read LED, one-button operation, and replaceable batteries also make it easy to train a larger number of personnel.
’PocketSure represents an important addition to our highly regarded SignaSure reader line, which combines handheld, machine-readable detection with forensic-level analysis,’ stated Don Taylor, vice president for global marketing at InkSure. ’Our customers have requested a lighter, more simplistic reader that can be allocated to a large number of users while remaining very cost-effective. We believe PocketSure will help accelerate the ”adoption rate” of machine readable authentication and build on our strengths of providing custom codes and assuring zero false accepts. In addition, PocketSure and SignaSure can be combined to create multi-level security programs wherein a primary level of inspectors employ PocketSure for detection of a ”base” covert code while a secondary level of security specialists employ SignaSure in the field to detect a more complex forensic-level code.’
InkSure is accepting orders now, with expected availability in the fourth quarter of 2006.
