ixPressia, an inkjet software company based in Cambridge, UK, will be showcasing its Color Label Print Engine software at Labelexpo Americas. ixPressia staff will be demonstrating the Color Label software on the Xaar booth.

The Color Label software (there is also a mono label option for those not requiring full color) allows printer manufacturers to control any key head, in any configuration, including the Xaar 1001 grayscale printheads. The front-end consists of a user-friendly PC-based label designer, enabling labels with variable and static information and graphics to be designed and printed simply and quickly.

The variable information can be any combination of barcodes, photos, graphics and alpha-numeric data, and as such it is a versatile program suitable for narrow web color labels, security cards, high quality package printing and print personalization.

Jim Taylor, MD of ixPressia, said: ‘Our new software technology enables high quality variable data printing in full color, including variable images at the full speed of the new generation grayscale print heads. This is an exciting technology, ideally suited for ID cards and short run label printing and is generating a great deal of interest from traditional printers wanting to go digital.’
