Crucially for short runs, the changeover times are fast - the switch fromhot foil stamping to cutting/creasing taking just 10 minutes.  According to Marcus Tralau, CEO of KAMA”‘With the increasing number of low volume, personalized print runs, the ProCut 53 opens up a whole range of sales opportunities in packaging for luxury or lifestyle products, including perfumes, cosmetics, foodstuffs, and branded accessories.’

Hot foil stamping is carried out 4,500 sheets per hour, and cutting and creasing at 6,000. The ProCut 53 Fis compatible with the HP Indigo 7500 and Indigo 5500 digital printers, but can process conventionally printed sheets up to format 530 x 400 mm. It can also be equipped with a specially developed hologram stamping system, which is in demand as a brand protection feature to prevent counterfeiting and product imitations.
