Matik is using its presence at Labelexpo Americas 2018 to showcase technology from its partners in Europe for printing, packaging and converting.
This will include Edale flexo press technology, SEI Laser digital finishing, Melzer smart label/tag/ticket converting equipment, and Kelva contact and non-contact web cleaning.
Edale’s AiiR autonomous flexo printing technologyis a focus on the Matik stand, as is the EFX digital finishing bar (digital high-build varnish, cold foil, peel and reveal, and digital screen white and variable printing). Automatic finishing (auto-slit and auto die unload-loading) is further demonstrated.
SEI Label’s Labelmaster allows production with no dies, on-the-fly job changes, high speed and high quality laser cutting, kiss-cutting, and marking. Additionally, features such as cutting individual labels, spot varnish and counted finished labels will be demonstrated live during Labelexpo Americas 2018.
Melzer’s offering includes equipment for RFID, NFC and IoT conversion of labels, tags and tickets. Technology allowing 100 percent inspection/ejection is shown.
The Kelva web cleaning equipment is suitable for any application – labels, film, corrugated, folding carton, non-woven and more.
Matik president Steve Leibin commented: ‘For over 40 years, Matik has been distributing and installing cutting edge technologies from Europe. Matik technologies deliver innovative capabilities and extensive production efficiencies that enable label printers to differentiate themselves in the market, effectively allowing them to, as we say, “Move your business forward!”.’
Leibin continued: ‘We are fortunate to represent a strong stable of products for our label printer customers throughout North America. However, just as important, we believe our personalized support services – including prompt parts delivery and 24/7 technical support – have been valuable to our customers. Our factory-trained technicians deliver preventive maintenance and integrated solutions, offering quality inspection, diagnosis, repair and aftercare.’
