New energy saving UV systems from GEW
Visitors to the Label Summit in Sao Paulo will have the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in energy saving UV curing systems from GEW on stand 2 where cross sections of its VCP and NuvaPlus UV lamp heads will be on show.
With energy costs continuing to rise, GEW has developed its new e-System with e-Brick electronic power supply to provide a measured reduction of 30 per cent in energy costs while giving equivalent curing capability when compared to traditional ballast based power supplies. The company can offer UV system upgrades on almost all makes of presses combining both the benefits of the e-brick with its new e-system lamp heads and reflector designs for optimized curing of inks and coatings.
Information will be available on the new e-System mini electronic UV curing lamp head featuring single phase, ‘plug and print’ 3.6kW power supply. Complete with new, patented reflectors, the e-System mini lamp head is optimized to provide ultimate UV performance for press widths up to 250mm (10”).
Also incorporated within the e-System family is the VCP model designed for narrow web presses up to 500 mm (20”) the new eCP lamp head for mid web presses from 450 to 750 mm (18 – 30”), and the hCP with water-cooling designated for wide web presses up to 1500 mm (60”).
