Flint Group Printing Plates continues to launch new innovative products, promoting further development of print quality and workflow in the flexographic and letterpress printing industry.

nyloflex ACT
Launched to meet the demand for optimal results in ‘combination printing’, where one plate consists of both halftone and solid printing areas. The plate offers minimal dot gain in halftones whilst ensuring consistently good ink coverage and solid densities. nyloflex ACT is a medium-hard plate suitable with water and solvent based inks, also conditionally with UV inks. Intended for high quality flexographic printing applications it can be used on most substrates including film, foil and paper. nyloflex ACT is available in both conventional and digital versions (nyloflex ACT DII).

‘Very positive customer feedback and high demand, soon after product launch, shows that with this plate we really meet the requirements of the flexo printer,’ commented Uwe Stebani, R&D director of Flint Group Printing Plates.

nyloflex Gold A digital
Flint Group Printing Plates surprised trade shops and print finishers by presenting the first digital ‘coating plate’ – nyloflex Gold A digital. ‘The trend continues towards digital plate making and with the first digital solution for coating plates we want to support this development,’” said Dr Eva Freudenthaler, marketing director of Flint Group Printing Plates. nyloflex Gold A digital is an aluminum-based plate with high dimensional stability for optimum register accuracy and excellent resistance properties, especially against UV inks and varnishes. Digital processing provides a wide exposure latitude and a steeper dot shoulder profile for wide open reverses, as well as eliminating many potential faults involved with film processing. nyloflex Gold A digital is the solution for eye catching effects in print finishing, with coating applications and printing with water-based metallic inks.

nyloprint WF blue
Just in time for IPEX 2006 Flint Group Printing Plates announced the market launch of nyloprint WF blue: a new foil-based letterpress plate. Following the introduction of the first digital letterpress plates in 2003, nyloprint WF blue marks another mile stone in the development of the nyloprint plate range. A new chemical formulation offers quick and easy plate making on all letterpress plate making systems, minimal dot gain, a wide exposure latitude and a excellent plate life span. nyloprint WF blue is suitable for many letterpress applications including adhesive labels, laminated tubes, film and business forms. It will be available in both a conventional and a digital version.
