New Mark310 plug-and-work solution from ImTech

ImTech has launched the Mark310, a plug-and-print industrial marker ideal for printing fixed and variable text like date and time stamps, serial numbers and barcodes.
Said to be economical and embeddable, the Mark310 is a high-speed print controller system that uses standard Hewlett-Packard print cartridges. ImTech will demonstrate the Mark310 in booth #6420 at Labelexpo Americas in Chicago.
‘The Mark310 addresses the increased need for variable printing capability in a competitively priced, low risk, simple to implement system,’ said ImTech president Bill Buskirk. ‘With the Mark310, companies can easily embed variable-data, inkjet printing capability into their products.’
The Mark310 allows the integration of HP’s thermal inkjet printing technology into a wide variety of industrial applications. It requires little training or maintenance, making the total cost of ownership significantly less than comparable systems.
The Mark310 is currently offered in one-and two-printhead configurations, and it features the simplicity of a USB interface. Its flexible design and open-source protocol make it easy to integrate into a customer’s existing production line. The Mark310 can also function as a stand-alone marker and does not require a permanently attached PC or PLC.
Due to the customizable nature of the Mark310 board, customers only pay for the configuration that best suits their applications. The Mark310 allows complex combinations of multi-line text, numbers and graphics that can be printed forward, reverse, inverted or mirrored at speeds exceeding 800 fpm and at resolution up to 600 dpi.
Common applications for the Mark310 include mounting the printheads to print variable
data on pre-converted label stock. The printheads can also be mounted in a packaging
line to print barcodes, dates and authentication data.
