Prati to display new slitter/rewinder at Labelexpo

Prati will display ten machines at the forthcoming Labelexpo Europe in Brussels, each one showing a different solution for pressure sensitive labels and unsupported filmic materials.

New at the show will be the VEGAplus, a modular machine developed to meet higher technical performance and extreme flexibility for a wide range of substrates and jobs. It will be displayed in two versions: the first one to inspect and finish pharmaceutical labels. The print quality is controlled by a BST Shark camera, and the ink-jet numbering is done by image heads and bar decoding provided by Atlantic Zeiser.

The machine, totally servo driven, slits and rewinds even aluminum foil for blister, to offer ‘the whole solution’ to pharma label printers, says the company.

The second version is configured to produce 1-color price-weighing labels in a single pass, with the glueless turret rewinder system.
