Schreiner introduces Pharma-Cushion label

Schreiner MediPharm has developed the new Pharma-Cushion label specifically for transporting pharmaceutical glass containers.
An integrated foam layer on the back of the label wraps around the glass container like a protective cushion, allowing the vials filled with pharmaceuticals to be transported in boxes without any secondary packaging and reach the recipient undamaged.
As well as preventing financial losses, the label minimizes health hazards as certain preparations harbor the risk of releasing toxic substances through damaged vials. The consistent integrity of the container is also ensured, avoiding contamination of the drugs inside the container. Furthermore, contamination of other packaging materials by liquids escaping from the container is prevented and healthcare personnel are protected against possible injuries from broken vials.
The container is marked by the front of the label. The thin and flexible material structure allows easy application to the glass container. This intelligent combination of marking and protection provides pharmaceutical manufacturers with an efficient, eco-conscious and economical way to safely transport glass containers in large batches.
