TecScan Electronics Ltd, a leader in the specialized field of print vision inspection, has developed a new range of affordable high resolution vision systems for print rewind operation in narrow web labeling applications. The new Inspecta System has been introduced to ease workflow and improve quality control by granting press operators the unique capability of viewing the full web width during the rewind procedure.

As an important production and quality control procedure prior to delivering the goods to the customer, efficient rewind inspection is vital if high quality is to be maintained and final product delivered on time. TecScan’s Inspecta System draws upon the company’s twenty-year heritage at the forefront of vision control technology to offer printers new technological benefits in meeting these key objectives.

In addition to full web width viewing at maximum rewind speed, the Inspecta System delivers exceptionally high resolution images displayed on a monitor to ensure precision inspection is achieved. This can be used in conjunction with a high resolution camera offering a fast zoom capability for close-up examination of fine details which further enhances quality.

Commenting on the introduction of the Inspecta System, Derek Morgan, commercial director at TecScan, said: ‘Rewind inspection is a vital element before print output can be dispatched and TecScan is committed to developing the performance of inspection methods such that printers benefit from time-saving efficiencies whilst improving quality control.’

‘Our dedicated design and manufacturing teams have brought to market an affordable system that achieves a huge leap in meeting the growing needs of printers and we expect the already enthusiastic interest in the Inspecta System to increase.’
