Vetaphone shows corona developments at Labelexpo

Vetaphone presented developments in its ranges of corona equipment at Labelexpo Europe 2011.
The first was a small, built-in touch panel that is now replacing the larger control panels the company has offered since 1999. ‘Touch panels enable us to create much more intuitive and user friendly interfaces, which in the end will slice down time needed for training operators,’ said sales director Jan Eisby.
Vetaphone now furnishes all parts on every product with its own unique QR code. Scanning the code provides access to all the information needed regarding a part – including spare part number, assembly instructions and a guide for proper maintenance. ‘Manuals always get displaced or disappear, and without the manual ordering new spare parts or figuring out how to replace the old ones is a time consuming struggle. This happens to most of our customers, so we decided to come up with a solution. And it seems that QR codes are the perfect answer. Most people own a smartphone these days, the app is a free download, and we can place any kind of information in the code,’ explained Eisby. ‘I wish we could measure just how much time this will save our customers. It has to be a lot.’
Eisby said the company owes it success to its partners and clients: ‘We were needed at so many stands, helping partners and clients. The number of manufacturers displaying equipment containing built-in corona treaters from Vetaphone was actually quite stunning to us.’
