Xennia introduces single pass inkjet label printer

Xennia has launched at drupa an industrial single pass inkjet printer using the Xaar 1001 printhead.

The heart of a reliable industrial inkjet system based on the Xaar 1001 head is a unique ink delivery system that recirculates the ink through the printheads. In a joint development program with its Croatian partner, Hijet, Xennia has created a Xaar 1001-based industrial inkjet print platform. When combined with Xennia’s ink expertise this can be applied to a range of industrial applications.

At drupa Xennia is demonstrating two systems based on these developments, including the new XenJet X-plore 8000 – a narrow web single pass inkjet printer designed for packaging, labeling and pharmaceutical applications. The system shown uses an ALS press and runs Xennia UV curable Vivide inks at 24m/min with high quality printing and grayscale resolution of over 1000dpi.
