Flint Group appoints new president Asia Pacific

Jim Mahony has been named president Flint Group Asia Pacific and will become a member of Flint Group’s executive management team. He will report to Charles Knott, CEO Flint Group. Mahony has over 40 years of industry experience, and held leadership roles with Flint Ink for seven years from 1997 to 2004. He joined Flint Ink via the acquisition of Manders PLC where, as Group COO, he spent significant time developing the company’s presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets. Jim Mahony went on to become president, Flint Ink Europe and chairman of Incowax India. Following the merger of Flint Ink Europe with Gebr. Schmidt in 2002, he became the president and CEO of Flint-Schmidt. His most recent position was as advisor to the Micro Group as president and CEO of their North American business. There, he assisted with the integration of business following Micro’s acquisition by Huber Group. Charles Knott said: ‘Jim is a hugely experienced individual, who combines an in-depth understanding of the Asian Pacific markets with outstanding leadership skills. As we look to strengthen our capabilities in this important region of the world, Jim's strategic insight, his personal experience and his professional expertise make him ideally suited to this role.’
