RotoMetrics appoints European MD

- New regional MD comes with ‘deep European business leadership background’
- Will have responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s European operations
Rotary tooling specialist RotoMetrics has appointed Dr Peter Emerson as the managing director of its European operations.
Emerson (pictured, top) was most recently managing director for Doncasters Centrifugal Castings, a precision manufacturer of engineered components. Prior to that, he held the role of chief operating officer for FOSROC, a US$400 million worldwide construction chemicals manufacturer.
Relevant experience
His prior experience in the tag and label industry includes serving as managing director of base materials producer Smith & McLaurin, as well as senior research and technology roles with Avery Dennison's UK base materials division.
He earned a PhD in physical and organic chemistry from the University of Wales.
Emerson will take up his new position as head of RotoMetrics Europe on June 11 and will be based at the company’s Aldridge, UK site. He will report to Robert Spiller, RotoMetrics’ president and chief executive officer, and will have responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s European operations.
