Former CEO appointed chairman following planned succession process at employee-owned label group.

NextGen Label Group has appointed Tom Sargent as chairman of the board of directors, effective February 11, 2026, following a planned succession process at the North Syracuse, New York-based employee-owned company.

Sargent previously served as president and CEO of NextGen Label Group before transitioning to an advisory role in April 2025, while remaining a board member.

'Tom's experience, perspective and steady leadership have made a lasting impact on NextGen Label Group,' said Nick Van Alstine, former co-chair of the board of directors. 'He understands our business at every level and has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful, disciplined approach to leadership. This transition reflects a thoughtfully planned succession and a leader who is well prepared to step into the role.'

Kathy Alaimo, former co-chair of the board, added: 'Tom has earned the trust and respect of the Board through his experience, integrity and commitment to our employee-owners. His ability to balance strategic vision with operational understanding makes him uniquely qualified to lead the Board well into the next chapter of growth.'

Dan Rosenbaum, president of NextGen Label Group, emphasized continuity in the transition. 'I want to sincerely thank Nick Van Alstine and Kathy Alaimo for their dedicated service and leadership as board co-chairs. Their stewardship fundamentally shaped the strong foundation and employee-ownership culture we have today. As we look ahead, I'm excited for Tom to take the helm. His depth of experience and leadership will ensure continuity at the board level while honoring the legacy Nick and Kathy leave behind.'

Van Alstine and Alaimo will remain on the board as directors for the remainder of 2026.
