DuPont Packaging Graphics has opened a Cyrel Technology Center at the campus of Warsaw University of Technology to more closely collaborate on addressing increased demand for flexible and corrugated printing in Poland.

‘Collaboration with Warsaw University allows DuPont to bring practical, real world flexographic printing technologies directly into the classroom,’ said Piotr Gill, general manager, DuPont Poland. ‘Our development strategy is based on global joint efforts with different stakeholders, and academia is one of the most important groups. Together we can achieve much more than any one of us can alone.’

‘Not only has DuPont donated the equipment for the laboratory, but working with a team around Jacek Kuśmierczyk, owner of Grafikus Systemy Graficzne, DuPont will also provide training and educational lectures for student in DuPont Cyrel Fast technology,’ said Tomasz Nojszewski, sales manager, DuPont Cyrel in north central Europe. ‘We look forward to meeting and training more than 70 students of the Institute of Mechanics and Printing at Warsaw University of Technology every year. As a former student, I know how important practical skills are for these future printing specialists. DuPont is very pleased to be a part of this collaboration.’

‘We are the oldest University in Poland in terms of education in printing technology and packaging and we pay a lot of attention to innovations including advances in DuPont Cyrel Fast Technology,’ said Dr Jerzy Petriaszwili, director, Institute of Mechanics and Printing, Warsaw University of Technology. ‘We are very grateful that DuPont responded to our development needs, as the interest of our students in expanding their practical knowledge is extremely high. Additionally, other foreign Universities, such as in Ukraine and Belarus, are also planning to send their students to our new lab for training.’
