Fujifilm signs partnership with HELL Gravure Systems

Fujifilm has signed a partnership with HELL Gravure Systems to sell the PremiumSetter S1300 in Europe, its B1 format direct laser engraving (DLE) platesetter.

The partnership will see Fujifilm sell the machine together with its Flexnex DLE plate to create a “high-quality, simple and efficient flexo plate production system”.

Fujifilm will showcase the system for the first time in Europe Labelexpo Europe 2013.

Fujifilm said the agreement is part of its strategy to grow its label and packaging business. 

Yasufumi Morimoto, senior vice-president of the Graphic Systems division of Fujifilm, said: ‘As part of a general strategy to develop our label and packaging business, we are committed to offering solutions to flexo printers to help them make their operations more efficient and sustainable, and we believe the HELL PremiumSetter S1300 together with the Flexnex plate will be a compelling solution.’

Dr Jörg Pohé, chief executive officer of HELL Gravure Systems, added: ‘We are confident this partnership will help us introduce the benefits of DLE flexo plate production to more and more printers.’
