Reflex Labels orders second MPS press

Reflex Labels orders second MPS press

UK-based Reflex Labels has ordered an EF510 10-color UV flexo press from MPS, which will represent its second investment in technology from the Dutch press manufacturer.

The MPS EF510 20” flexo packaging press can effectively print a range of substrates from 15 micron BOPP to 450 gsm/m2 of cartonboard. The new press follows an earlier EF model installed two years ago.

The first MPS press investment has proven successful, with both production time and set-up waste reduced significantly since its installation. Dave Ewing, Reflex Labels’ operations manager, said: ‘The MPS EF press has surpassed all our expectations in flexibility and reliability. The print quality on a wide range of substrates is excellent, and the operators have remarked that it is extremely user-friendly to run.’

Eric Hoendervangers, commercial director of MPS, commented: ‘On top of the many industry awards received by Reflex Labels, we see this sale as an award for MPS’ smart and sustainable tailored technology in packaging printing. We warmly congratulate Reflex Labels on their second MPS press investment that will undoubtedly bring Reflex Labels new successes.’
