Ahlstrom launches release paper in Brazil
MaxLiner targets the PSA labeling market with locally produced high-density liner.
Ahlstrom has launched MaxLiner, a high-transparency, high-density release paper for pressure-sensitive adhesive labeling, produced at its plant in Jacareí, Brazil, extending the company's release liner manufacturing footprint into South America.
The product meets hold-out, density and transparency requirements for silicone coating, lamination, PSA label printing, die-cutting and dispensing. It is manufactured with responsibly sourced, certified renewable fibers and can be supplied with a chain-of-custody forestry management certification.
The launch complements Ahlstrom's existing Brazilian offering of clay-coated release papers and coated and uncoated label papers, giving South American customers locally available supply with shorter lead times and reduced supply chain risk. The company already manufactures glassine and supercalendered kraft release liners in Europe and North America.
'MaxLiner is a tangible demonstration of Ahlstrom's continued commitment to the PSA industry and our strong focus on South America,' said Marco Martinez, head of product, sustainability and marketing for release liners at Ahlstrom. 'With this addition, our Brazilian unit can offer a more complete range of release and label papers, supporting our local customers' growth with dependable, high-performance solutions.'
