Dhunseri orders world's fastest BOPET line
Indian converter invests in BOPET production line operating at 700 m/min.
Dhunseri Poly Films Private Limited has ordered the world's fastest BOPET film production line from Brückner Maschinenbau, designed to operate at a constant production speed of 700 m/min at its site in Panagarh, West Bengal.
The wholly owned subsidiary of Dhunseri Ventures is building on its successful partnership with Brückner Maschinenbau following the start-up of its first BOPET line in 2023.
'We want to be fully prepared for the anticipated growth in our industry,' commented C.K. Dhanuka, chairman of Dhunseri Ventures. 'Following the successful start-up of our first BOPET line in 2023, we are excited to continue working closely with Brückner on this new project.'
According to Johann Kreilinger, head of sales Middle East, Subcontinent and Africa at Brückner Maschinenbau, the companies are setting a new benchmark with the world's first BOPET line designed for a production speed of 700 m/min.
The new line will set standards for efficiency and productivity, delivering higher output at lower production costs and positioning Dhunseri Poly Films as an industry pioneer.
The first joint BOPET line at Dhunseri's Panagarh site featured Brückner's technologies, including the multi-gap MDO for high-temperature stretching and the advanced FOK 8.8 sliding chain track system, ensuring high-speed operation and reduced maintenance costs.
Dhunseri Ventures Limited operates plants in India and Egypt and entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Indorama Ventures Public Company for the bottle-grade PET business in India and Egypt. Dhunseri Poly Films was founded in 2020 for manufacturing biaxially oriented films.
