Fedrigoni expands BS5609 portfolio with new inkjet film
Kimdura Inkjet TW has been developed for converters serving demanding industrial applications.

Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives North America has launched Kimdura Inkjet TW, a new HDPE-based white film designed for pigment inkjet platforms, expanding the company's line of BS5609-certified materials.
The Kimdura Inkjet TW (PD50MG651) features a 4.5 mil HDPE white film construction paired with P50 aggressive acrylic adhesive and a 50# liner. The material is engineered to be dry to the touch immediately after printing while providing superior resistance to water, chemicals and solvents.
'BS5609 Section 2 certification requires labels to withstand three months submerged in the saltwater conditions of the English Channel,' said Melissa Harton, marketing manager at Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives North America. 'Fedrigoni is proud to offer an expanded offering of BS5609 products to converters who need to meet these rigorous requirements.'
The new product joins Fedrigoni's existing BS5609 Section 2-certified materials, including PD37AX551 (7 mil Teslin/P50/3.2 mil LF) and PD50NC651 (3.3 mil Matte White Inkjet Polypropylene/P50/50#). The addition gives converters a broader range of calipers within the certified portfolio.
Manufactured as a no-trim item in North Carolina, the Kimdura Inkjet TW targets applications including chemical drums, industrial containers and logistics labeling where long-term resistance and compliance with international shipping regulations are critical.
