Henkel kicks off 2017 food safe packaging webinar series
Henkel has kicked off its latest series of webinars focused on the topic of food safe packaging.

This year, Henkel will be holding 10 live webinars in English language. In these webinars, experts will talk about different topics relating to adhesives in packaging and the requirements food packaging has to fulfill. To meet global participation interests, every webinar is held at 09:00 CET for interested parties from the eastern world and repeated at 16:00 CET for the western part of the world. In addition, eight webinars are held in Spanish and Portuguese, catering to the Latin American region.
The first food safe packaging webinar of 2017 took place today (March 8) on the topic of ‘Assessing the risks of food contact materials’. In this interactive webinar, Dr Jörg Feesche looked into the area of toxicological evaluations and risk assessments as important contribution to food safe packaging.
The next webinar in 2017 takes place on March 29, covering ‘Migration testing in flexible packaging’. Dr Dennis Bankmann will focus on migration testing in film and foil lamination, and will explain the legal background of migration testing and talk about the specific considerations for reactive polyurethane adhesives. Furthermore, he will present in detail the common pitfalls in migration testing and will give best practices how to avoid these pitfalls.
