Klockner Pentaplast wins CBF Business of the Year award

Klockner Pentaplast’s Crumlin, Wales, operation has received the 2009 Caerphilly Business Forum Award. The CBF established this award to recognize local businesses that demonstrated ‘outstanding and consistent achievement’ in the last twelve months.
Klockner Pentaplast was recognized for its ‘continued commitment to producing high-quality films and innovative solutions to its customers, as well as its dedication to continuous improvement of its business and production processes’. In particular, Klockner Pentaplast was acknowledged for its new extrusion line that is being installed at this site. This expansion represents an investment of GBP £3 million (USD $4.4 million).
‘We are delighted to receive this award and honored to be recognized for our commitment to excellence in serving our customers,’ said Graham Johnson, chairman of Klockner Pentaplast. ‘This award could only be achieved thanks to the dedication of our Crumlin employees and the strong local teamwork ethic. We thank the CBF and sponsor Coleg Gwent for this honor and its efforts in creating a supportive business community.’
Caerphilly Business Forum was founded in 1997 as an independent network for businesses located within or near the County Borough of Caerphilly in South East Wales.
