Parkside partners with Stratus Packaging
British packaging specialist Parkside has partnered with a French manufacturer and distributor, Stratus Packaging, to work on small runs of compostable technologies.

Stratus is a manufacturer and distributor of packaging, adhesive labels, labels for IML, and shrink sleeve for food and beverage, health and beauty, industrial and chemical markets. According to the agreement, both companies will work together on all small runs of compostable packaging. Additionally, Status will be a sole manufacturer and distributor of Parkside products in France and Switzerland.
‘Parkside is one of the leading manufacturers of compostable packaging in Europe, so it is with pride that we are launching this new collaboration. This partnership will allow us to approach the flexible packaging market in France and Switzerland with a niche product, and we are extremely excited about this new relationship. This is the right time and place to be able to offer such a product on the market when customers are so environmentally conscious,’ said François Xavier Allilaire, sales and marketing director at Stratus.
Paula Birch, Parkside's sales and marketing director, added: ‘We had wanted to expand in the French market for some time and Stratus was the obvious choice to be our number one partner to achieve this. They are leaders in the food, health and beauty, industrial and chemical sectors and by using our innovative solutions with their distribution channels, we hope to be at the forefront of certified home compost solutions.’
According to Stratus, this partnership is an opportunity to access the flexible packaging market in France with such an interesting and environmentally friendly product.
‘This allows our customers to develop their business while minimizing their carbon footprint and enables them to reduce the amount of their waste. We have carried out several tests, especially on inks to try to cover the different scenarios and are eager to see the actions undertaken over the past few months
