WBE certification extends Mac Arthur diversity program

- Female vendors allow corporations and government agencies to demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity
- WBE certification follows accreditation as a minority business enterprise
Michigan-based Mac Arthur Corporation has been certified as a woman’s business enterprise (WBE) by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), signifying it is majority owned, operated and controlled a woman or women.
Mac Arthur is an international supplier of custom industrial and automotive labels and die-cuts to the automotive, electronics, industrial, medical and consumer goods markets serving customers in more than 20 countries from offices in the US, Mexico and Poland.
WBENC’s national standard of certification includes an in-depth review of the business and site inspection, and is designed to confirm the business is at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.
WBE certification follows similar accreditation as a minority business enterprise (MBE), which Mac Arthur received more than 20 years ago.
By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
Christie Wong, Mac Arthur chief executive officer, said: ‘We are proud to be recognized as a certified WBE. Inclusion into the WBENC network will provide visibility on new business opportunities with corporations and capability development for our organization.’
